The Phoenix Club of Nashville

Our mission is to significantly impact the direction of our community’s youth by raising funds in a social setting and challenging young professional men to be community leaders.

Who?

The Phoenix Club of Nashville (PCON) is a registered Non Profit organization in Nashville, Tennessee that raises money in a social setting. What initially began and continues to thrive in Memphis since 1955, found itself “reborn again” in Nashville at the turn of the century. We are a catalyst in raising funds for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee and work to increase their documented effectiveness in our community. The club raises money in a manner that challenges members to reach out into the community for funds that enable our disadvantaged youth to prosper. Since the Boys and Girls Clubs have proven to make a measurable difference in our community, the Phoenix Club proudly champions their cause.

We strive to provide a funding mechanism to help alter the course of our disadvantaged youth while developing lasting friendships in the young professional ranks of Middle Tennessee. The Phoenix Club is a dynamic cross section of young professionals. Among Phoenix Club alumni in Nashville are countless Non Profit board members, community leaders, businessmen, entrepreneurs, bankers, sales professionals, attorneys, architects, engineers, developers, insurers, accountants, and physicians.

Why the Phoenix Club?

For close to a decade, the Phoenix Club has been a good mix of hard work and hard play benefiting the Boys and Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee. Since its humble beginnings, the Phoenix Club has helped support the Boys and Girls Clubs. PCON has grown to provide annual endowments for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee.

The Phoenix Club of Nashville kicked off with its inaugural lunch in 2000 and has gained recognition and support from the leadership community. With effort in this exciting initiative, members make long lasting friendships while giving back to the Nashville community. Men invited to join have always been required to meet two basic requirements: a sincere interest in furthering the goals of the Phoenix Club itself, and potential for future leadership in the community.

The Phoenix Club holds regular lunch meetings and raises money with signature fund raising events such as the Taste of Nashville, and the Holiday Greeting Card campaign. Lunch meetings are held at prominent Nashville restaurants. Members enjoy hearing speakers that have impacted our surroundings and are playing key roles in our community. In order to spend time with some of our beneficiaries, PCON members also hold several cookouts throughout the year at different Boys & Girls Clubs locations. Fundraising updates, member news, cookouts and lunches are announced through our online newsletter referred to as “The Birdword.”

While this club continues to take on a character and life all its own, it is based on principles that have changed the lives of young children in Tennessee for over half a century. Membership enables life long personal and professional friendships to be formed.
